The successful Thailand-New Zealand Business Matching Event 2024 in Bangkok was proudly hosted by the New Zealand Thailand Business Association (NZTBA), under the auspices of the Thai Embassy in Wellington. Ambassador Waravuth Pouapinya, served as the president of the event, providing crucial support and leadership throughout.

His Excellency's active involvement underscored the importance of collaboration between the two nations, setting a positive tone that encouraged productive dialogue.

Significant support from the New Zealand government by Hon Shane Jones, Minister for Oceans and Fisheries, Minister for Regional Development, Minister for Resources, Associate Minister of Finance, and Associate Minister for Energy, delivering a keynote speech at the event, has instilled confidence and demonstrated a warm welcome to Thai investors considering New Zealand.

Leading New Zealand business representatives from various sectors, including Auckland BioScience, Supa Pwr, Private Capital Group, Northland Inc., NIG Nutritional, and AgriTech New Zealand, attended the event as speakers and engaged with Thai business leaders.

With over 100 influential business leaders and key representatives from both the public and private sectors, including major entities like K Bank, CPF, PTT, UOB, and representatives from the Ministry of Energy, Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the event successfully fostered invaluable connections. The active participation of these key stakeholders not only highlighted the potential for bilateral investment opportunities but also emphasized the importance of strengthening economic ties between Thailand and New Zealand.
